Originally titled the Self Help Song, this song deals with navigating a sea of self-hatred after a terrible life decision. Overcoming emotional hardship when somebody else is at fault is a much different game than when the perpetrator is a part of yourself. (Songwriting turns out to often be the best way to sort things out internally, so here's a receipt of that process)
lyrics
Take her for a ride
Let her down real slow
Are we satisfied?
No wonder I'm alone
Cause I'm a bastard for saying the things that I said
doing things that I've done
There's the taste of my blood in my mouth where I choked
on my lips and my tongue
With the words that I said better off being dead
in a hole in the ground
Dirty thoughts to myself I'd be rotted to hell but it's better than where I'm at now
These hands can't be mine
Cause I've seen what they've done
And I feel dead inside
For just a little fun
So I stand in the shower I'm trying to scour
this smell off my skin
It's the birds and bees its a bad synesthesia
there's no way to win
It's the year of the kid says he likes getting bit
And then stares at his toes
Handle hard to the right I'm still here out of spite wondering how hot this water will go
Everything is perfect and everything is fine, everything is gonna get better soon
Everything is perfect and everything is fine, everything is gonna get better soon
Everything is perfect and everything is fine, everything is gonna get better soon
Everything had better get a whole lot better soon
